Examples of equipment used

EMF METERS
EMF meters are used to detect possible deviations and/or fluctuations in the electro-magnetic field that some theories suggest could be caused by paranormal activity. They are also used to detect high levels of man made electric radiation due to faulty devices or house mains wiring etc..
NIGHT VISION CAMERAS
Paranormal Investigators use many kinds of video recording devices. One of the most commonly used is night vision camcorders. These use infra-red light to record in complete darkness, enabling investigators to capture video footage of paranormal or unexplained phenomena.
DIGITAL AUDIO RECORDERS
Audio recorders are an invaluable too for recording auditory phenomena that may occur during investigations at locations reputed to be haunted or experiencing paranormal activity. They are also used for investigators to keep a detailed log of events during an investigation.
REMPOD
The REMPOD is a device that emits a electromagnetic field. When the field is broken or disrupted an alarm is triggered and LED's flash with intensity that matches the proximity of the energy or phenomena responsible. ( Radiating Electro Magnetic POD )

MULTI CHANNEL MIXER
A multi channel mixer enable multiple microphones to be set up at a location and stored in 24 bit quality digital audio at 96khz sample rate. This enable crystal clear recordings for analysis of any audio phenomena that may be reported.
THERMAL IMAGING
Thermal imaging is used by paranormal investigators to detect phenomena that may not be detected by using standard or night vision cameras. Thermal cameras measure heat radiation as opposed to light. They can also be used to detect draughts and heat loss in properties and/or locations.
OVILUS IV
The Ovilus IV is a multi tool device with several detection features and also a built in speech generator that is said to enable spirit communication. Other features include a Geophone, Proximity sensor and Dictionary.
KINNECT CAMERA
The Kinnect camera uses a structured light system that sends out a matrix of infra red beams that can fill a whole room. If anything interrupts the beams it forms a shape that is mapped out as a skeletal figure captured on a screen for investigators to record.
